Artsy Photos

Bugger! It's been more than two weeks since I last posted, after promising I wouldn't let it go that long! My apologies, in case there's anyone who cares. ;)

In the spirit of chronological order, I was planning to post some pics from the pub crawl after the rehearsal dinner. But in reviewing the wedding pics, I fell in love with some of the black & white shots and wanted to showcase them. I went through all of the professional pics (getting ready, ceremony, and reception) and realized that the B&W shots do a pretty good job of telling the wedding story on their own.

So, here they are - all on their own. Photo credit for all goes to our great "ninja" photographer, Aaron Rohde. Slideshow creation enabled by PhotoSnack.

Rehearsal Dinner, Or Om Noms After the Rehearsal

After the rehearsal, running late, we all piled into cars and hightailed it to the Dolphin Striker for the rehearsal dinner.

Portsmouth summer parking being what it is, the bride ended up dropping off her father & groom and driving around for a while looking for a parking spot. I finally found one - right in front of the restaurant! Thanks, universe.

This is the lovely sight that greeted us inside. Like many Portsmouth restaurants, the Dolphin Striker is in an old brick building by the waterfront that was used as warehouse or shop space in the 18th century. I love the exposed bricks & wooden beams.

My husband is a very large fan of Dr. Who. Here, his best man & groomsman present him with a sonic screwdriver. I think he liked it.

I did, too. :)

A cute photo, a lovely dinner & a few bottles of wine, and off to the bars!

Stay tuned for the next post. I promise it won't be two weeks between them this time!
